Navigate to Cases > My Appointments for easy access to all the appointments in your office. All staff in your office automatically have this access after anyone in your office is appointed to a case (please note, the list is empty until your office creates an appointment or receives access to one). Click on the column headers to sort the table. Click on a blue case number to jump to the details of that appointment. If you are ever seeing fewer cases than you expect, try the Reset Filters button in the upper right corner of the screen to make sure search filters are not excluding too many cases. Two Tabs
The My Office's Appointments tab includes all the cases appointed to attorneys in your office. The Other Offices' Appointments tab includes all the appointments to which your office has received access, i.e. as litigation support, coverage, a mentor, or a case consultant. Hover over the question mark icon in each tab for a reminder of this information in CARES. More on requests for access
Search Filters
Use the search filters at the top of the My Appointments screen to refine the list of appointments shown on either tab, then click the magnifying glass to apply your filters. CARES will remember the filters you chose the next time you return to this screen, allowing you to save any preferred view. For example, if other attorneys carry cases in your office, select the "Appointed to Me" checkbox and click the blue magnifying glass to filter the list so it shows only cases appointed to you (only if you are an attorney). When you exit and return to this screen later, "Appointed to Me" will still be selected.

If you do not see any appointments, check to make sure your filters are not mutually exclusive, such as "Closed" and "Bookmarked" together--if you did not bookmark any closed cases, none will show with both of those boxes checked. Remember you can always click the "Reset Filters" button in the upper right of your My Appointments screen any time to view all your office's open/active appointments:

Reminder Icons
You will see a red icon by any appointment in your office nearing its maximum billing allocation or needing your decision on an access request (such as from a Case Consultant). Hover over the icon to see a text tip about what it means, and/or click on the blue case number to jump to that appointment to read the red reminders there. These reminders are only to assist you. Remember there is also a filter at the top of the screen for "Nearing Maximum Billing Allocation" to help you identify appointments that may need funding soon. Tip: The question mark icons next to the "Matching Appointments" headers in the My Appointments screen are help tips--just hover your mouse over any question mark icon in CARES for a help tip!
Active/Inactive Status
If your office provides litigation support, mentoring, or coverage on another office’s appointment, when you are finished working on it, you can check the box beside it and “Mark Inactive” to clean up your office’s list without impacting the appointed office’s open/closed status. For more on this, please see Finishing Work on Another Office's Appointment.
