If you work for more than one attorney in more than one Office, you will have a different CARES account/login for each office. This protects the confidentiality of each office's sensitive data, and each OCR contractor must invoice OCR (and thereby the State of Colorado) for only their office's activities. You should discuss any questions about payment for your activities in each office/login with the OCR contractor in that office who submits monthly invoices.
Emails
CARES requires you to have a different email address for each account/office. Having different email addresses does not require having completely separate logins to all your email--for example, if you use Gmail, you can create infinite aliases in the same account by adding simple periods, or a name of an office after a plus sign--this requires no special setup, gives you a new unique email address for CARES, and allows you to avoid the hassle of creating multiple email accounts for CARES. Learn more about this Gmail feature here: https://www.lifewire.com/create-gmail-alias-4580315, and contact OCR if you set this up and want to update CARES accordingly. If you do not use Gmail, other providers may have similar offerings, or you can always auto-forward emails between accounts (more on that here).
Please note, if you use an alias or forwarding, be mindful about sending CARES password reset emails--send a reset from only one CARES account at a time and note the alias in the "To" line to be sure you are not confused about which account the reset belongs to when it arrives in your inbox (i.e., make note of which account uses which alias to help keep this straight if you send resets close to one another).
User Names
You will have a different CARES "user name" for each office/login. When you first access your account(s) via the Support Staff Quick Start Guide, be sure to note the user name at the top of any password reset email you receive. Contact OCR if you would like to change any of your user names.
Case Consultant Rate
Billing Policies & Procedures reminder for CCs: if you become an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the future, you can request a higher OCR billing rate at https://fs30.formsite.com/COCR/CCRate/index.html. You must use this form to notify OCR to make billing changes across all your active accounts.
Find Each Office's Appointments
In each of your CARES accounts, your Cases > My Appointments screen will contain all of that office's appointments (i.e., each of your accounts contains the appointments for that office). CARES will remember the filters you select on this screen (across your logins!), so remember that you can click "Reset Filters" in the upper right of the screen when you need to see all of that office's open/active appointments. Check out My Appointments Screen for more information about this important screen.
