The CARES Help Center is an online resource to guide you through the features of OCR's billing and case management system, CARES. With an array of helpful how-to's, FAQs, tips, and more, this powerful information hub is designed to save you time and support your work. So how can you best navigate this Help Center?
Getting to the CARES Help Center
You are already in the CARES Help Center as you read this article. To return here again later, the easiest way to access the CARES Help Center is by navigating from within CARES itself. On the left-hand menu of CARES, click the "Help" option at the very bottom. This will open a new tab in your browser and open the CARES Help Center.
You can also access the CARES Help Center by visiting the Office of the Child's Representative website. From the homepage, hover your mouse over the Menu Option "Attorneys", then, click "Billing & Reimbursement". From here, select the "CARES Help Center" box on the right side of the screen.
Using the CARES Help Center
When you arrive at the CARES Help Center, please take note of a few things to help you use the resource efficiently:
The Search Bar
- The Search Bar is the most useful way to navigate the Help Center. Simply click the search bar and enter a word or two about the action or problem you'd like guidance on. For example, if you are having trouble updating your Attorney role in a case, search "Attorney Role" for a list of related articles to help resolve your issue.
Boxed Sections
- Please note the several different boxes on the Help Center's homepage. Each box reflects a certain topic or section of the Help Center that will direct you to related help articles, tips and FAQs.
- For new CARES users, the Getting Started and CARES Essentials are great places to start getting familiar with the application.
- The Streamlining Tools section contains a number of articles and tips to work more efficiently in CARES.
- If you are having trouble performing an action in CARES—say, reopening your appointment or dealing with an error message—the FAQ section is a great place to look at before reaching out to OCR for help. You can learn how to best reach OCR for a help request with the Need Help? section.
Promoted Articles
- The final thing to note with navigating the CARES Help Center are the Promoted Articles (beneath the boxed sections). These articles are quick go-to resources for some of the most common problems users have with CARES. If you are having a problem, these articles may have what you are looking for!
